ASRC Federal Field Services is seeking an Assistant Chief of Operations - Fire Department, in support of our Vance AFB Base Operations Support Contract Located in Enid Oklahoma.
Overview:


The role of the Assistant Fire Chief of Operations is to assist in planning, directing, and reviewing the activities and operations of the Fire Department including fire suppression, hazardous material mitigation, respond to all emergency responses and assume an appropriate role within the Air Force Incident Management System (AFIMS), emergency medical services, emergency management, safety officer responsibilities, and administrative support services.


Duties:
• Assist in fire prevention activities, life safety code compliance, public safety education, fire prevention hot work permit review/issue after hours. Direct, oversee and participate in the development of their respective shift; assign work activities, projects and programs; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures.
• Directs the Lead Firefighters, Driver Operators, Firefighter and ECC operators.
• Manage the storage and distribution of all supplies and commodities for the Department.
• Assist in coordinating assigned activities with other Vance AFB agencies. Conducts proficiency training for operations personnel.
• Manages fire department equipment, SCBA, and barrier maintenance programs.
• Perform Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) responsibilities.
• Appointment of personnel for additional duties.
• Manage all additional duties.
• Manage the department operations leave schedule and daily rosters.
• Provide highly responsible and complex executive level support to the Fire Chief as a member of the Fire Chief's management team.
• Prepare and present staff reports, correspondence, prepare a variety of technical and departmental activity reports and other necessary document.
• Represent the Department as well as the company in a positive and professional manner.
• Provide positive leadership and development to various Department personnel so as to foster a qualified and capable staff.
• Administer policies and procedures as directed from the Fire Chief, Company and USAF.
• Work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.
• Manage other programs and functions as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned


Mandatory Requirements:

• Fire Officer III
• Fire Instructor II
• Fire Inspector II
• HazMat IC
• ARFF Firefighter
• ICS 300, 400
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to contract requirements
• Current Driver’s License
• 10 years of experience working in a fire department
• Previous management experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearancePreferred Requirements:
• Incident Safety Officer
• Health and Safety Officer
• Previous management experience of a unionized workforce.
