POSITION REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None.

Keyboarding speed of 35 wpm.
Basic Excel skills.
English proficiency.
POSITION PURPOSE: To streamline finance operations through the use of technology.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
Act as subject matter expert on all software systems related to finance.
Create and prepare requested reports in specialized financial software.
Lead implementation and integration of new departmental software.
Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components.
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
Perform research on and recommend changes to improve systems and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
Confer with software users about how to solve existing system problems.
Serve as technical contact for financial software users.
Provide user training and support on financial software programs.
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on photocopier and microform equipment.
Receive and process mail batches as needed.
Digitize documents for record retention as needed.
Provide assistance to all departments as needed.
Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one-two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES:
Additional related training preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Computers and Electronics: Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
English Language: Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Accurate and attentive to detail.
Strong computer application skills.
Ability to assist and support others.
Able to operate telephone, PC, copier, and other basic business machines.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
FINGER DEXTERITY:
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
VISUAL ABILITIES:
Normal vision, with or without corrective lenses.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH:
Exerts up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.) Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.
LANGUAGE/COMPREHENSION:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from department supervisors or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
MATHEMATICS ABILITY:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:
Part - time: 8:00 - 12:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Other: Occasional additional hours based on project needs.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
NOISE LEVEL:
Quiet.
