SALARY: $15.00 PER HOUR/32 HOURS PER WEEK
(Monday through Thursday)DESCRIPTION: The Airport Internship offers a hands-on opportunity to learn how a municipal airport operates on a day-to-day basis. Interns will gain exposure to a wide range of responsibilities, including financial tracking, fuel management, line service, customer service, hangar operations, inventory, and general airfield maintenance. The role includes assisting the Operations Manager with tasks such as preparing reports, supporting airport events like fly-ins, organizing materials for board meetings, and managing expenditures. Interns will also participate in daily airfield inspections and have the opportunity to attend meetings with state and regional aviation organizations. Additional projects may include assisting with small construction or pavement maintenance efforts. This position plays a role in maintaining a safe operating environment and requires compliance with all applicable safety and substance abuse policies.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must be a part- or full-time student at a college or university. Applicant must have a high school diploma and at least 15 credit hours towards an associate or bachelor’s degree. Current transcript required.
