Job Summary: Connect Media Solutions is seeking a skilled and reliable IT Helpdesk Technician to join our team as a 1099 contractor. This role requires someone who can work independently, problem-solve effectively, and communicate clearly with both clients and internal teams. As the central point of contact for client IT issues, you will play a critical role in providing technical support and ensuring smooth communication between the company and its clients.
Key Responsibilities: • Act as the primary contact for client IT support requests, managing tickets via phone, email, and remote tools. • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, escalating when necessary. • Provide both remote and occasional on-site support to clients. • Document all support requests, solutions, and client interactions in the ticketing system. • Clearly explain technical concepts to clients with varying levels of IT knowledge. • Prioritize and manage support tickets to meet service level agreements (SLAs). • Collaborate with Connect Media Solutions' internal team to address recurring issues and implement effective solutions. • Assist with hardware and software setup for new clients. • Educate clients on basic troubleshooting, cybersecurity best practices, and software usage. • Stay current with the latest technology trends and tools to better serve clients. • Perform additional duties as assigned to support company operations and client needs.
Qualifications: • Proven experience as an IT Helpdesk Technician or in a similar role. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient with Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, VoIP systems, and basic networking (IP, DNS, VPN). • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems. • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service. • Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs). • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to transport necessary equipment as needed.
Preferred: • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus. • Experience working in churches or non-profit environments.
Contractor Requirements: • Must operate as an independent contractor (1099 status). • Responsible for own taxes, insurance, and benefits. • Provide necessary tools and equipment if required (to be discussed based on project needs).
