Summary

This position is primarily responsible for training of employees during new hire onboarding, including leading online, classroom, and hands-on training applications. The instructor is responsible for coordinating classroom setups and attendance, curriculum and syllabus, evaluation, and reporting on employee needs.

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to classroom instruction, instruction in-cab of a Tractor – Trailer, and hands-on simulations of tank-truck driver duties

  • Instruct and instill a high level of respect for safety,training, security and compliance
  • Instill pride and professionalism while developing a safety culture within all employees
  • Develop syllabus and curriculum needs for classroom or practical training methods
  • Assist in coordination of employee travel and attendance needs including hotel, rental, instructions, classroom needs, lunches, etc.
  • Coordinate instructor assistants or presenters
  • Develop innovative methods including the use of technology where applicable to lead world class training initiatives
  • Develop relationships with all departments to prioritize safety and training efforts
  • Continually satisfy internal and external customer expectations and requirements
  • Evaluate and report employee training needs to management and various instructors in need
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
  • Purchase, inventory and maintain safety equipment and materials for instruction needs
  • Integrate technology systems to leverage learning, tracking and analysis of training and safety data

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Associates Degree; Experience may substitute
  • Classroom and Hands-On instruction experience, trucking industry preferred

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

  • Microsoft office products
  • TMW, GeoTab, (electronic logs)
  • Learning Management System (LMS), Workday & Filmora preferred
