Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships by proactively providing timely information and resolution to issues. This position serves as a liaison between the customer and terminal.

Description

• Advocate and maintain a strong commitment to safety in the operating process.
• Communicate to customers regarding load status through multiple platforms utilizing technology.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints/non-conformances in a timely manner.
• Notification of non-conformity during transportation service.
• Solicit freight.
• Create masters and freight bills.
• Accept and decline orders
• Provide load status update to customers.
• Update customer portals.
• Maintain customer profiles.
• Proactively recognize issues prior to occurrence and take the necessary steps to avoid service failures.
• Provide daily/weekly/monthly status updates and coordinates with management to maintain and retain customer business levels.
• Analyze reports to identify deficiencies.
• Maintain close contact with logistics coordinators, providing documentation and other pertinent information required for scheduling loads.
• Conduct market research as directed by management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Additional Job Description

• 2+ years of transportation operations/ customer service experience
• Strong analytical skills.
• Highly motivated
• Ability to work unsupervised with specific instructional guidelines.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to effectively perform the functions of this position may be considered.

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

• Must be able to effectively operate computer systems to complete essential job functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook applications.
