Job Purpose
The Business Intelligence Analyst collects, interprets, and analyzes data to provide reports, key performance metrics, and actionable insights that drive informed business decisions. This role will support data analysis and business intelligence services that include, but not limited to, performance analysis, pricing analysis, cost analysis, and wage analysis.

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Develops and maintains collaboration relationships with leadership and senior management to develop goals, objectives, and strategies for improving business performance using business intelligence tools
  • Identifies, documents, and analyzes business data needs, conducts requirements gathering, and defines scope and objectives for business intelligence tools and data development
  • Manages the gathering, cleansing, organization, and analysis of large amounts of data in order to generate reports and visualizations that inform business strategy
  • Manages and leads data team in design and implementation of methodical and iterative data structure supporting business intelligence reporting, analysis, and access goals
  • Manages and leads analytics team in developing reports, creating dashboards and visualizations, and performing ad hoc analyses tailored to key business metrics, indicators, and needs
  • Manages and leads the creation, implementation, training, oversight, and on-going support for on-demand and interactive business intelligence reporting and visualization tools fostering increased access to and utility of data
  • Develops, leads, and continuously pushes for process improvements driving increased data accuracy
  • Monitors, understands, and reports data quality levels
  • Collaborates across business units to communicate and present data-driven insights and uncover areas of business opportunity
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and maintain data governance, policies and procedures related to business intelligence solutions
  • Develops and maintains vendor relationships related to business intelligence tools, technology, and data; implements new systems and tools as warranted
  • Directly supervise assigned team including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
  • Works independently with limited supervision

Additional Job Description

Preferred Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, statistics, information systems, intelligence or finance preferred
  • Experience in maintaining, configuring, and implementing business systems and data analysis
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred

Preferred Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

  • Microsoft Office, Windows Server
  • SQL, Database Management

The work environment is typical of an indoor, office setting; however, occasional physical indoor and outdoor activity is involved.
