This is a safety sensitive position. Performs those duties of dental hygiene, record keeping, patient recall, and health education in the care and treatment of patients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Possess valid state license to practice dental hygiene
• Previous dental hygiene experience desired, but not required
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff. Possesses skill and ability to motivate patients
• Prepares and maintains charts, records, logs, and reports

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides preventive clinical services.
• Responsible for the preparation and setting up of instruments.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and monitoring of equipment.
• Provides oral health education for sealant project.
• Follows all OSHA Standards and institutional policies as stated in Regulatory Compliance Manual and Health Center Policy and Procedure Manual
• Radiology Services.
• Assists dental manager with clerical tasks as time permits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Required to work in-clinic.
