The Sleep Laboratory Technologist performs routine, intermediate and advanced polysomnographic testing services including patient monitoring, testing and reporting. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of hire
Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).
The Sleep Laboratory Technologist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Operates and troubleshoots polysomnographic equipment
- Responsible for patient hookup for sleep studies as well as sharing this knowledge and training others how to perform this task
- Reads polysomnographic recordings, administers sleep study protocols and applies knowledge of the International Classification of Sleep Disorders The Sleep Laboratory Technologist reports to the Polysomnographic Tech, Lead Polysomnographic Lech, and the Director Sleep Center.

- This position has the potential for occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other infectious materials as defined by OSHA.
- Hazardous chemicals may be used during patient preparation and cleaning of equipment.
- Must follow universal safety precautions. May be required to work overtime, late shifts, weekends and be on call.
