Position Available: Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Management and General Business. Salary, based on qualifications and experience, is determined by the Vice President for Academic Affairs and University President and approved by the Regional University System of Oklahoma (RUSO).General Information: Northwestern Oklahoma State University is a state-assisted regional institution in the Oklahoma System of Higher Education and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The student population is approximately 2,100 students. Located in Alva, Oklahoma, and with additional campus locations in Enid and Woodward, the university is a center of activity for the region. The Division of Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.Available: August 2026Job Summary: The successful candidate will be based on the Northwestern Alva or Enid campus, teaching courses on site. Placement at the Enid campus will require commuting to the Alva campus weekly to fulfill teaching responsibilities, with occasional additional commutes as part of various division/institutional activities. We seek a motivated candidate to join our division of nine other faculty members who share a commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, as well as strengthening and helping our programs grow. Teaching responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, Human Resource Management, Organization Behavior, Principles of Management, and graduate MBA management courses.Duties and Responsibilities: The Division of Business standard teaching load consists of 12/12 credit hours of undergraduate and graduate business courses during the regular fall and spring semesters with opportunities for overload compensation during the regular semesters and optional course loads in the summer. Additional responsibilities include advising, curriculum development, assessment of student learning, committee participation, student organizations/student competitions, ACBSP accreditation, and community involvement.Preferred Qualifications: DBA or a PhD in Management from an accredited university. Preference will be given to candidates with previous university teaching experience, a strong academic background (18+ graduate hours in management), and experience as a corporate manager or business owner. Placement on tenure track conditional upon successful completion of doctoral degree.
