Position Available: Nine-month, full-time, Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology with a clinical emphasis. General Information: State-assisted regional institution with campuses in Alva, Enid, Woodward. Available: August 2026. Job Summary: Based at either the Alva or Enid campus; teach on-site in counselor education and mental health counseling; mentor undergraduates and develop counselors-in-training pursuing master’s degrees and/or licensure. Duties and Responsibilities: Teach at least four psychology classes per semester; summer teaching optional; committee participation and student advisement (from year two); teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses including mental health/addictions counseling; collaborate on curriculum development; supervise/mentor graduate candidates in schools and agencies; provide group/triadic supervision; advise MCP candidates and meet prospective students. Preferred Qualifications: Faculty experience in counselor education; research/professional interests in evidence-based, culturally responsive interventions; accreditation expertise (CACREP/MPCAC); assessment/accreditation/curriculum development; online curriculum design; involvement in professional counseling orgs; knowledge of ethical/legal issues; clinical supervision experience/eligibility. Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in counselor education (preferably CACREP/MPCAC) or related field; licensed/certified or eligible in Oklahoma (LPC/LADC); experience with diverse populations/learning needs; higher-ed teaching potential/experience (online/hybrid/face-to-face); ability to teach core counseling courses; collaborative ability.
