Duties and Responsibilities: Patrol campus on foot or in vehicle; maintain radio contact; perform security at events; know jurisdiction and routines; interview/take statements; prepare reports; investigate crime/accident scenes; arrest violators and serve warrants; escort prisoners; enforce traffic/parking; direct traffic; provide BLS-level first aid; courier duties; provide security at special events; participate in training and public education; assist internal in-service training; perform tasks designated by Chief of Campus Police; may require travel. Qualifications: Certified or certifiable as Peace Officer by CLEET (within 6 months unless extension granted); valid Oklahoma driver’s license; CPR/First Aid (AHA Heart Saver) preferred; if not CLEET certified, pass POSSE test; MMPI-2 within last 5 years with suitable designation; integrity, loyalty, leadership, empathy, understanding, stability, maturity; no felony or moral turpitude convictions; pass background; High school diploma required, Bachelor’s or prior college credits preferred (law enforcement, psychology or related field).
