Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for repairing and rebuilding a variety of plant equipment which includes cleaning, lubricating and adjusting equipment as directed in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Repair all equipment quickly to minimize down time.
Lubricate or verify lubrication of motors and equipment in accordance with schedules or as directed.
Check, change or clean filters on air conditioners and dust collectors.
Perform industrial electrical troubleshooting, repair and installation.
Perform repair and installation of pneumatic and hydraulic system and various pumps.
Perform repair of electronics, schematics, single and three phase electrical motors.
Perform metal and carpentry work when needed.
As, directed, check out new equipment prior to operation to insure mechanical and electrical stability.
Handle daily routine maintenance on foundry equipment.
Maintain high standard of housekeeping and safety.

While performing this job, employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and extreme heat or cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud from machinery noises.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A minimum of two years industrial maintenance experience or education equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret equipment manuals and schematics. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid driver's license.
