Executive Director Position Announcement Rural Health Projects, Inc. (RHP) is seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead this rural public health umbrella 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation. Located in Enid Oklahoma, RHP was founded in 1992, and is a funded by a variety of grants and contracts that support the mission “To improve access to and quality of healthcare services for rural Oklahomans through collaboration, advocacy, education, recruitment, and training “. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a mission-driven organization and impact healthcare locally and across Oklahoma. The Executive Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of RHP while working with passionate staff, board members and stakeholders. Responsibilities: As Executive Director, you will oversee all areas of operation for this non-profit agency. Duties include, but not limited to: • Implementation of the Board of Directors policies and procedures. • Management of all human resource issues. • Negotiation of contracts and ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled. • Development and monitoring of operational budgets. • Preparation of federal, state, and foundation grant applications. • Evaluation of public health needs and activation of community programs. • Engaged in clear/concise written and oral communication with the RHP board, state/federal governments and legislatures, healthcare providers, and community. • Plan/facilitate meetings, workshops, conferences at the local, state, and national level. • Serve as Managing Director of the Rural Health Association of Oklahoma. Reporting Relations: The ED reports to the Board of Directors, through the board chair Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience (required) or a master’s degree and three years of experience (preferred) with emphasis on management or program development in the planning and delivery of public health services or health care and manpower needs assessment. Preferred Skills: • Professional verbal and written communication skills. • Community development including the planning, delivering, and evaluating of educational programs for adults and children • Working for or with non-profit corporations and Boards of Directors including experience in resource management such as fundraising and grant writing. • Personnel management, including hiring and firing of staff; Program planning and implementation; budget creation and management; ensuring annual audit is completed for Board review; ensure all policies reflect current budget and purchasing practices • Other decision responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Directors. Review of Work: There will be no less than an annual written performance appraisal.
