The Processing Specialist I is responsible for maintaining knowledge of and implementing processes for payment products including development, balancing, settlement, and support systems for such products.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs a variety of daily tasks associated with the Payments and Prepaid products, including but not limited to: reviewing reports, preparing correspondence, and settlement.
2. Assist with correspondence related to the ITS Prepaid Payroll program.
3. Assists clients with inquiries and/or problem resolution in a professional and composed manner, research to identify and resolve problems in a timely matter and escalate to supervisor as appropriate.
4. Assist and provide support to others in the department during absences.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Associate degree in a business-related field, required.
• 1-3 years’ experience as a teller, or similar role in a retail banking environment, or alternate work-related experience of 3+ years, required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced data entry accuracy and attention to detail required.
• Experience using Microsoft Office; highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Independent critical reasoning.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
