Swadley’s BBQ has grown from one small restaurant to eight family-owned and operated locations across Oklahoma. Each of our restaurants is built as an extension of our homes, and we firmly believe we are not in the food service business, but the people business. From our beloved employees to our wonderful guests, we are grateful to each person who chooses to work with us or share a meal in our restaurants.

Position Summary

Servers are the face of Swadley’s BBQ. You’ll be responsible for delivering genuine hospitality, accurate orders, and outstanding service while creating a warm, welcoming environment for every guest. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and warmly, making them feel welcome.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of menu items and specials to answer guest questions and make recommendations.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction, anticipate needs, and resolve concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, server stations, and dining areas.
  • Assist team members as needed to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and service standards.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred but not required – we’ll train the right person!
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and carry trays up to 25 lbs.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a passion for people and hospitality.

Age Requirement:

Applicants 18 years and older are eligible for standard hiring consideration.
