Responsibilities

• Operate forging machinery and equipment to produce metal components as per specifications.
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
• Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
• Load and unload metal materials into and from the forging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to identify manufacturing process improvements and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of production quantities, quality checks, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance on forging equipment and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety guidelines put in place to protect you and your fellow workers.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a forge operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy and the forging process, including equipment setup and operation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Able to work in extreme climate conditions.
• Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
• Able to lift to 50 lbs.
