QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 21 years of age
- Satisfactory work experience
- Current bronze or higher Oklahoma Director’s Credential
- Good understanding of the DHS requirements and program policies
REPORTS TO: Childcare Director
SUPERVISES: Childcare teachers, staff, and children
RESPONSIBLITIES:
The director is accountable for day-to-day operation of the program and is responsible for:
- Maintaining a program that meets or exceeds requirements
- Improving quality of care
- Implementing program development and evaluation
- Ensuring personnel and volunteers comply with requirements
- Supervising the conduct of personnel, volunteers, and other individuals providing services in the program
- Appointing and informing the personnel in charge when the director is not present at the facility
- Overseeing parent communication and family engagement
- Present at the facility during the hours of operation at least 50% of the operating hours or 30 hours per week, whichever is less
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
- Completes DHS compliance review form within 1 month
- Obtains and maintains CPR and first aid certifications within 3 months
- 30 clock hours of professional development annually
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting objects.
