QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have strong organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Background in inventory and storage. FIFO (First In, First Out) and other inventory rotation methods.
  • Learn and successfully manage reports for the Child Nutrition Department.
  • Assists in serving meals when instructed
  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, food service, school nutrition programs. Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Performs related duties as required.

REPORTS TO: Cafeteria Manager and Richard Schram

SUPERVISES: N/A

JOB OVERVIEW: To maintain an efficient and effective warehouse.

Help with preparation of food, as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory system.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate purchasing to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Attend in-service training as directed by Child Nutrition Department.
  • Any other duties as requested by supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of a Child Nutrition III/ Inventory employee are to maintain accurate inventory and records as well as assisting other Child Nutrition workers in serving the best quality meals to our students.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 175 days

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position is in a cafeteria setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting and moving objects of approximately 50 pounds.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Must wear long slacks (jeans) and enclosed-toe shoes.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.

SALARY RANGE: Is based on the EPS Support Negotiated Contract Scale.

BENEFITS: In accordance with the EPS Support Negotiated Contract.
